Albania has declared March 5 as a day of national mourning for the Tempi train crash tragedy that killed at least 57 people.
Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the news in a post on his Facebook page.
“The tragedy of Greece is also our tragedy, the pain for the lives lost in the terrible accident is also ours. This is one of those moments in life where a great loss to a neighbor shows that our lives are inextricably linked and that we must do our best to make them better by working more and more together. On Sunday, Albania will symbolically honor the victims of the tragedy with a day of mourning, flying the national flag at half-mast,” writes Rama.
