Are New Ryanair Croatia-Italy Flights Coming In 2025?

October the 30th, 2024 – Are some new Ryanair Croatia-Italy flights on the cards? The popular Irish carrier seems to be mulling over the idea, with Zagreb continuing to provide excellent results.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, it appears that the insanely popular low-cost airline Ryanair has submitted a preliminary schedule for the introduction of flights between Zagreb and Palermo for the next summer season.

According to alleged current plans, these new Ryanair Croatia-Italy flights should begin on March the 30th, 2025. As things stand, they’ll make that hop over the shared Adriatic Sea three times a week – on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, using an Airbus A320 Lauda Europe aircraft with 180 seats.

If the plans for new Ryanair Croatia-Italy flights do come to fruition, it will be the first time that these two cities have been connected by a regular, direct flight. It must be noted however that Ryanair has not yet made a final decision on the matter, and as such, tickets for the potential Zagreb-Palermo route are not yet on sale.

THE CURRENT RYANAIR CROATIA-ITALY FLIGHTS ARE BOOMING, AS ZAGREB KEEPS ON BRINGING GREAT RESULTS

Ryanair has achieved some fantastic results so far for the Italian market from Zagreb. The Irish company currently has existing flights from the Croatian capital to Rome Fiumicino, Milan Bergamo, Naples and Pisa. Currently, flights to Naples are only available during the company’s summer schedule. Milan Bergamo is one of Ryanair’s busiest routes from Zagreb, with almost 70,000 passengers taken between there and Croatia’s capital last year alone.

Ryanair’s tourist destinations from Zagreb have attracted a lot of interest since the company set up base here. According to their current plans, Ryanair plans to re-establish flights to Memmingen as of summer, after a break during the summer of 2024, although the route did remain active during the winter.

It is expected that next summer the largest number of Ryanair flights from Zagreb will be those crossing the Adriatic to Italy. Other important destinations across Europe with regular and sometimes daily flights from Zagreb will include Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, France and Malta.
