Former star of FC Barcelona, Gerard Piqué has been frolicking off the island of Lopud near Dubrovnik with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. The World Cup-winning defender is currently embroiled in a custody battle over the two children he shares with his long-term ex, Colombian pop star Shakira.
A product of the same Barcelona academy as Lionel Messi, Piqué was part of the all-conquering Barça side that won nine league titles and three Champions League trophies, retiring halfway through the 2022-23 season.
The Barcelona-born centre-back still has plenty of business interests in football and owns second-division club FC Andorra. He kept his relationship with Clara Chia Marti, a 23-year-old student of PR, secret, although recently the couple have been seen more and more in public. They are enjoying a break in Croatia with Piqué’s parents, his brother and his wife.
