Croatia Airlines Teams Up With Europcar Croatia

August the 3rd, 2023 – Croatia Airlines has begun what will hopefully be a fruitful partnership with the internationally known rent-a-car service – Europcar.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the very beginning of the cooperation between Croatia Airlines and Europcar was marked last week in the Croatia Airlines’ technical centre in Zagreb’s Franjo Tudjman International Airport. Fittingly, on that occasion, parked alongside an Airbus aircraft were Ford vehicles, one of the most important partners of Uniline Mobility, i.e. Europcar Croatia.

THE AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION

The new cooperation agreement between Croatia Airlines and Europcar will allow passengers to purchase an airline ticket and rent a car in all destinations in which Croatia Airlines and Europcar operate in the world in just a few simple steps. Passengers will have the opportunity to collect Miles & More award miles, given that Croatia Airlines and Europcar both participate in the aforementioned loyalty programme.

“We are glad that, by joining forces with Europcar, we’ve managed to expand the offer of our additional services and continued to raise the quality of the overall service we offer both in the air and on the ground.

I believe that many travellers will take advantage of this inter-modal transport service, i.e. the combination of air and road transport with rent-a-car vehicles, which in a simple and efficient way makes Croatia even more accessible and its destinations more reachable,” said Slaven Žabo, Director of Commercial Affairs Croatia Airlines, on the occasion of signing the contract.

COMPETITION WITH RYANAIR AT ZAGREB AIRPORT

It’s worth bearing in mind that the Croatian national air carrier has had some very fierce competition in Zagreb ever since Ryanair appeared on the scene several years ago. The wildly popular Irish low-budget carrier offers extremely cheap flights from Zagreb all over Europe, and it’s only natural that this air company, which had issues finding a strategic partner for a long time, would try to up its game in terms of what it can offer its passengers going forward.
