The Croatian company Rabo, otherwise the largest domestic exporter of apples, has become part of the Mészáros Group.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Croatian company Rabo from Kneževi Vinogradi (Osijek -Baranja County), a producer and exporter of fresh apples, is becoming a new member of the Hungarian Mészáros Group owned by Lőrinc Mészáros.
CURRENT MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES TO REMAIN
Within the wider Hungarian Mészáros Group, the Croatian company Rabo will continue, with its current management body and employees, to successfully implement all of its planned activities and set goals in the future that reflect on the path they’ve taken as an enterprise thus far.
This acquisition, in addition to the further development of this very successful Croatian export company, investments and employment, represents the possibility of additional empowerment of the local community, as well as the economy of Baranja as a whole. Baranja’s local economy, much like that of most of the eastern part of this country, has been struggling for a considerable amount of time now. Demographic issues have plagued eastern Croatia for decades, and overlooked economic opportunities abound.
AN OPPORTUNITY FOR BOTH CROATIA AND HUNGARY
The owner of the Mészáros Group, Lőrinc Mészáros, said that with this acquisition, the Group will receive unique know-how in the production, storage, confection and distribution of fresh fruit from the Croatian company Tabo. This can then be successfully applied in all future investments within the company, as well as in their own national areas in neighbouring Hungary.
The founder and future executive director of Rabo, Nikola Velicki, also made sure to emphasise that Rabo will maintain its current direction and strategy of its business. This will be maintained alongside the further development and strengthening of production capacities, as well as the market position of their products, both on domestic and foreign markets.
