The Croatian IT company Q has formed a partnership with the well known (for better or worse) British media brand The Sun.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Croatian IT company Q has once again achieved roaring business success outside the borders of the Republic of Croatia. It has been announced that Q is collaborating with The Sun to improve the user experience of its readers.
The Croatian IT company Q is going to be working on developing the primary functionalities of The Sun’s web portal, maintaining the platform and also its mobile application (app). All of the paper’s digital solutions will significantly improve the reader’s experience and its entire digital presentation. The Sun is a well-known British newspaper that has been known to the public since 1964. It reaches 31.1 million people a month through its print and digital editions. Controversial and divisive among the British public, it is absolutely hated in certain groups. Hopefully, this reputation doesn’t spill over onto this truly remarkable Croatian company.
A BIG CHALLENGE FOR THE CROATIAN IT COMPANY Q
“This job represents a big challenge for us because we’re going to be working on a really large and significant platform. Everything we plan to do will affect the millions of people who read The Sun and use its software packages. The complexity of this project will definitely help us grow because we’ll be able to learn a lot of new things that we can then apply in the future”, commented Hrvoje Gorajščan, CTO of Q.
The bulk of the work is the development and implementation of user accounts where readers can manage their various settings and subscriptions. In addition, work is being done to improve the user experience through the complete optimisation of the programme and a totally new UX design. In addition to all of that, the platform itself will have a newsletter, and a help hub has already been implemented for users who need help when using it.
THE MOST ADVANCED SOLUTIONS IN DIGITAL PUBLISHING
“Thanks to this collaboration, The Sun and its readers will receive the most advanced and modern solutions in digital publishing. We look forward to an optimised user experience after working with the Q team,” commented Catherine Liggins, Head of Delivery at The Sun.
Q has otherwise been on the market since 2013, when it was started by friends Filip Ljubić, Dalibor Jurgec and Vedran Tolić. It is headquartered in Zagreb and currently operates in over twenty markets around the world. According to the assessment of the world’s leading agency for ranking IT companies, Clutch, this domestic company is ranked among the best web development companies on a global level.
