Croatia’s Stock Indices Advance in Low Turnover

The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended higher on Friday despite a drop of turnover, a bourse data showed.

The bourse’s total trading turnover fell to 889,400 euro ($977,000) from 1.2 million euro on Thursday.

The 15-share CROBEX gained 0.29% to close at 2,255.75 points, after losses in the previous two sessions. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, climbed 0.17% to end at 1,298.78 points.

Software developer SPAN [ZSE:SPAN] was the most traded company with a turnover of some 259,000 euro. Its shares fell 0.34% to end at 57.80 euro following steady gains in the previous eight trading days.

Preferred shares of diversified holding company [ZSE:ADRS2] dropped 1.06% to 56.20 euro in a turnover of 53,800 euro.

Among the other blue chips, ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] rebounded 1.35%, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] rose 0.40% and food and pharmaceuticals company Podravka [ZSE:PODR] went up 0.65% in lower turnovers.
