Eastern Tourism in Croatia – 940,000 Stayed Overnight

As Poslovni Dnevnik inscribes that even though Easter in 2023 fell earlier than 2022 and in advance than the one back during 2019, the record-breaking year as per information, Croatian Easter tourism drew greater number of guests compared to 2022. In the current part of April, as per e-Visitor data, more particularly up until Easter Monday in Croatia, the time experienced almost 300,000 arrivals and over 940,000 stays overnight were recorded, which represents a growth of 55% in terms of arrivals and 73% in overnight stays, when compared to the same period of April 2022. The abovementioned represents growth of 27% in terms of arrivals, when compared to the figures recorded in 2019, a very hopeful 54% in terms of overnight stays.

The most overnight stays were realized in Kvarner, Istria, and in Split-Dalmatia County. In regard to destinations – Porec, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Rovinj, and Split, all did quite good indeed. In terms of overnight stays, the top markets are Germany, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.

The company Awaze, which has three eminent domestic agencies for luxury accommodation in renting, reported that there was a 7% increase in the visitor number during the Easter holidays compared to 2022.
