The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange ended higher on Thursday thanks to gains in Podravka and Hrvatska Postanska Banka, bourse data showed.
The 20-share benchmark CROBEX added 0.34% to 2,373.44 points.
The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, climbed 0.18% to close at 1,441.22 points.
Food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most traded company with a turnover of 248,000 euro ($264,000) as its shares gained 0.37% to 134.50 euro.
Shares of software developer Span [ZSE:SPAN] dropped 2.73% to 42.80 euro in a turnover of 194,000 euro.
Shares of Hrvatska Postanska Banka (HPB) [ZSE:HPB] soared 3.35% to close at 185 euro in a turnover of 163,000 euro. The company announced earlier this week a net profit of 68.1 million euro for the first nine months of 2024 as its net interest income surged 72% on the year.
The on-exchange bourse turnover fell to 1.3 million euro from 3.3 million euro on Tuesday. On Wednesday the bourse was closed due to All Saints’ Day.
