Croatia’s Tourism Revenues Hit Record High

Croatia’s tourism revenues in 2022 reached 13.1 billion euros, a new record which is 24 percent higher than the previous peak in 2019, Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports, said on Friday.

In 2022, Croatia recorded 18.9 million arrivals, and 104.8 million overnight stays of foreign tourists. These figures were 37 percent and 25 percent higher respectively than in 2021.

“If we add the estimated income from domestic tourists, the total income from tourism in 2022 would be around 15 billion euros,” Brnjac said.

Last year, Croatia also saw a significant increase in tourism outside the summer season, when most foreign tourists usually visit the country.

Tourism is one of the main pillars of the economy of Croatia, which has a population of about 3.88 million people. Endtiem
