Nordex Picks Up Order for 56 MW of Wind Turbines in Croatia

Germany’s Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said on Tuesday that it has received an order for 56 MW of its turbines for a wind power project in Croatia.

Croatian renewables developer Encro Group and diversified conglomerate Adris Grupa d.d. (ZSE:ADRS) have selected eight units of the N163/6.X turbines for their joint wind farm project called Visoka. The order includes 30 years of premium service for the turbines.

The German wind turbine manufacturer said that it will deliver and install the machines at a site near the town of Sinj, southern Croatia. The Delta4000 series turbines will be installed on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 113 metres.

The turbines are expected to start operation at the end of 2024.

The Visoka wind farm is the first energy project for Adris, which is active across the tourism, food, insurance and real estate sectors. Encro is an experienced renewables player in Croatia, with 141 MW of operational capacity, 164 MW under construction and 1,000 MW in the pipeline.

Nordex has sold and installed 154 wind turbines, ranging from 3 MW to 5 MW, in Croatia. The Visoka project marks the company’s first order for the N163/6.X turbines in the country.
